Sprinkled Donut Crunch Vanilla Ice Cream Cake Cereal Bars (+ macro friendly icing)

Hey Fit Fam,

Sometimes you just want something ooooey and goooooey and full of sugar ... ya feel me?!
I achieved that today with these babies.

I'm calling them "Sprinkled Donut Crunch Vanilla Ice Cream Cake Cereal Bars"  -- I think I covered all the sweet-tooth bases in the name of this recipe .. what do you think?! LOL!

Yeahhhh .. so they don't really contain any of the above.
But considering the ingredients I used ... that is what I'm calling them 💗
Oh and check out the unintentional heart shape my piece broke off into ... fitting since these made my heart (and belly) very happy!

I have made several versions of these in the past (one with peanut butter instead of marshmallow. Some with popcorn instead of cereal.) It really just depends on what you are craving and where ya wanna put your calories (fat or carbs or both)

I was having these Post Workout, which means I wanted lower fat and higher carb this go round. That is why I went with Marshmallow and Cereal!

Obviously they aren't really "Macro Friendly" but the macros aren't HORRIBLE either and they are a million times better than any store bought stuff. So whip up a batch (in like 5 min) and treat yourself!

For those Insta Friends that already saw the recipe on my INSTAGRAM PAGE but are here looking for the MACRO FRIENDLY ICING that I put on top of these (and put on top of LOTS of stuff) .. recipe is at the bottom!

Sprinkled Donut Crunch Vanilla Ice Cream Cake Cereal Bars

Ingredients
*2 servings (56g) Sprinkled Donut Crunch Cereal (*If GF see notes*)

*2 tablespoons Coconut Oil or Butter (I love using coconut oil in these but it does make it higher fat. For lower fat use "I can't believe it's not butter"

*Few drops of Vanilla Better Stevia (Can omit this as they are sweet enough.) *70-90g - Mini Marshmallows

*20g - 1st Phorm Level One Vanilla Ice Cream Protein Powder (Phormula One Vanilla would work of you really want a fast digesting protein for PWO. I was out otherwise I would have used it since I was having these PWO.)
You can get FREE SHIPPING on any 1st Phorm product by using the link www.1stphorm.com/stacy

* 1 - Birthday Cake Flex Flavor by Devotion Nutrition (optional)

WHAT TO DO:
In a bowl crush the cereal a little. You don't have to do this but it makes more volume. I wish I had crumbled them even more than I did. Toss in the protein, Birthday Cake Flex Flavor and set aside. .
In a saucepan, melt marshmallows and coconut oil (or butter) over medium heat until mixture is totally melted. Pour in the cereal mixture in and mix well until combined. Pour into a greased pan. Press down with greased spoon or your hands (You will want to use some spray oil if you use your hands cause it will stick to them.)

Cover, pop in fridge, or allow to cool at room temp!

MACROS Per Bar
(Amount above makes 4 big bars. you could cut it into 8 smaller ones and that would obviously 1/2 the macros of each bar.)

Fat: 4.9g
Carbs: 29.8g
Protein: 4.7g

** Macros are using the brands I mention, 90g of marshmallow and using the "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter." 2tbs of coconut oil adds about 5g fat per bar but worth it if you have the extra fat macros! I totally could have gotten away with less marshmallow as well.

**If you are Gluten Free/Celiac you may not want to use this cereal. It is NOT considered to be Gluten Free by the company because the oats they use could be contaminated (the case with ANY oats unless labeled GF.) HOWEVER it does not contain any "Gluten Ingredients." I pick and choose my battles with this oat "gluten debate". To be SAFE and if you are extra sensitive you want to avoid anything not certified or naturally GF. That said .. it's never made me sick and I do have Celiac.

If you want a good SOLID Gluten Free replacement that will taste similar ... do Vanilla Chex or one of the flavored Cheerios (frosted, fruity, very berry, etc.)

TASTES GOOD ON ANYTHING (macro friendly) ICING
Okay so this is so stupid easy I can't even really call it a recipe!
How much of each ingredient you use depends on how much icing YOU want! This amount is enough for one HEAVILY iced cereal bar (really you could even do 1/2 of this ...but I wanted a lot.)

Ingredients:
1/2 tbs - Whipped Cream Cheese (You can use ANY cream cheese you want. low fat, fat free, regular, etc.)

1oz - Kroger Company Vanilla Carbmaster Yogurt (you can use ANY vanilla or flavored yogurt you want.)

What To Do:
Mix together .. put on top. Uh yeah ... THAT IS IT for this one!
If you want it to be a "more firm" texture ... just pop in freezer for like 10 min before you slather it on top!
