#PrepWithPurpose - July 6, 2016: Logan Lowe

For backstory on what #PrepWithPurpose is all about please read the blog entry and/or Instagram Post.

Hey Friends,

Everyone keeps asking "what is next" for me now that I earned Pro Status. Well .. I'm trying to expedite getting my Pro Card so that I can compete on a pro stage ASAP!! My feedback from judges at Team Universe was that I'm ready to go ... so why not?! I don't know how many shows I will do before I go into a break or "off" season. I'll just see how things go. But that is where I am right now!

Meanwhile .. Prep With Purpose continues regardless if I am on an "official" prep or not! Right now I am on prep .. as I'm continuing on as if I get that card this week!! Fingers crossed!

Today we are lifting up and lifting for a young man that has a long road to recovery after a really bad 4-wheeler accident last week.

Prep With Purpose -- July 6, 2016: Logan Lowe

On Friday July 1st doctors told 20 year old Logan Lowe he will never walk again. Can you imagine?! Being an active young man one day and then suddenly .. in seconds .. with one blink .. you find yourself in an emergency room with injuries that doctors say result in never being able to walk again?!

Logan is from Scott County, Tn. That is a neighboring county to the small town where I grew up. He broke his collar bone and T10, 11 and 12 vertebrae in a 4-wheeler accident.

Yesterday was his first day of therapy at the Patricia Neal Center. Logan, his family and friends all are paying for a miracle! I will join them today as he is my focus and motivation for Prep With Purpose.

As we use our legs today .. let's LIFT UP and FOR Logan!! We are ABLE! We can walk, run, lift, perform day-to-day activities and Logan no longer has that ability. With every stride and every rep I will pray for him, his doctors and family. Don't give up Logan! You've got this!!

XoXo,
Stacy

I hope you are joining me on this PREP WITH PURPOSE journey! If you are ... please post/share and use the hashtag #PrepWithPurpose! Let's get a huge prayer chain going and in the process maybe make the sport of bodybuilding less about "me, me, me" and a little more about helping others! Our motivation doesn't have to come from ONLY ourselves!

If you know anyone that needs urgent or ongoing prayer for any physical reason please email me all the information and a picture (or a few) to simplystacyfitness@yahoo.com.

  1. I dont know you personally Logan, but I live in Norma,I passed you the same day they said you had the accident as i was going up the bridge to the main highway,i seen a glimpse of your face and later seen the post of your accident,I just wanted to say Patricia Neal Is beyond an amazing place to be for your recovery, about 24 yrs ago my ex-father-in-law had an accident in the wood's while logging, when they put him in Patricia Neal,we knew it wasnt gonna be an easy recovery for him, they told us and him he would never walk again,he remained there for 4 months or maybe a little bit longer, working hard everyday the staff worked with him teaching him to feed himself all over because it damaged the whole left side of his body,he worked hard and never gave up,the staff at the hospital were amazed at his progress,Today he walks around,he puts out a garden, all the things he use to do,he can do,so i just wanted to say you hang in there, everyone is praying hard for you,and you too can overcome this battle ahead of you, like i said they told us that my Father-in-law would never walk again,i guess maybe sometimes your body just needs a little rest to recover, and i pray that you too will walk again, and maybe one day i can have the chance to meet you personally, because after that day all i could think of is i just passed that boy on the bridge...I will be sending up a prayer for you...
