#PrepWithPurpose - August 12, 2016: Charlie Darling Miethe

For backstory on what #PrepWithPurpose is all about please read the blog entry and/or Instagram Post.

Hey Friends,

You know how social media can sometimes be .. you seem to see everything you don't really want to see .. yet somehow miss everything you would want/need to see? That is the case with today's Prep With Purpose.

The newborn (premature) daughter of a friend of mine (Hayden Miethe) is in need of a miracle at this very moment. She was born almost one month ago .. on July 15th .. and I guess in-between Facebook only showing me what it wants to show me and me NOT scrolling as much as usual (with travel, competitions, etc.) .. I had NO IDEA about his little girls condition until LATE last night/early this morning. I was eating my final meal and looking at socials when his status asking for prayer popped up. This was God sent .. for sure. You see .. I've not had many Prep With Purpose requests sent in lately and the couple that I have been sent either need more information before I can write them, or I simply need a little more time to write them because there is a lot of information to compile/look into. Because of that ... I was going into today with yet another empty line in my prep with purpose journal. I'm not "happy" that I have little Charlie Darling's name to write down .. but I am happy that I randomly saw her daddy's status and can lift up and for her today. I hope you join me.

Prep With Purpose - August 12, 2016: Charlie Darling Miethe

I don't know Hayden on a personal/friendship level .. but we have many mutual friends, have known each other since I moved to Nashville back in 2009 and met several times. We first connected when he did some graphic design work for my husbands first club/venue.

He is just what you would call ... good people.

As mentioned above ... his little girl Charlie Darling was born into this world premature. Of course premature babies face many challenges and by scrolling through all that I missed on his facebook feed .. I see little Charlie has had a pretty rough few weeks ... but yesterday they got some very scary news. They got word that their little girl was in need of an emergency blood transfusion due to incredibly low iron levels.

Hayden says they of course were not comfortable with something so dramatic happening to such a little body .. but were told they simply did not have a choice. Without it .. she could go into heart failure. The transfusion took hours. They had trouble finding a vein and then had trouble with the IV.

In addition to the transfusion they found out that the calcium on her brain (which at one point looked like it was doing better) has now increased. It is vital that this go away. They will do another scan next week to find out.

Expenses are obviously piling up for this family. It broke my heart to read Hayden write this: "We are to the point of our pride being gone and will accept and admit we need help."

A friend of the family set up a page to make donations if you are able. Even if it's just a meal!! I know they would be grateful for anything!! I can't always vouch for pages like this. But I can 110% vouch for this one.

Little Charlie (as well as mom, dad and the rest of the family) need our prayers first and foremost ... but obviously the outcome isn't in our control. However we CAN help ease some financial burdens they face. Here is a link ... if you can give anything at all ... please help them out.

Today I am hitting the gym early so that I'm done before my husband returns from his trip to China! Between my competition, this trip and him being sick - we've not really seen each other in over 2 weeks!

My training session isn't a LONG one ... but it's more endurance based so it's a little more grueling. With every single ounce of me I will lift up and for this precious little girl and her sweet family. I will repeat her name over and over again ... I hope they will all feel the little bit of extra love coming their way.

XoXo

I want to continue this project/prayer chain. But I'm finding myself spending HOURS searching for people to "lift up and for" because I'm not getting any requests -- I know you guys have to know someone (or have heard of someone) with an ongoing or urgent need for physical healing?
Please send me all details possible, a pic if they don't mind sharing, etc. simplystacyfitness@yahoo.com
