#PrepWithPurpose - July 14, 2016 -- Pastor Ronnie Arnold

For backstory on what #PrepWithPurpose is all about please read the blog entry and/or Instagram Post.

Hey Friends,

TWO DAYS AWAY from my big debut as a Pro! I am nervous, anxious, excited, grateful -- so many emotions! I honestly thought this day would never come. I never thought I'd actually earn pro status as a bikini bodybuilding athlete .. so I'm just over the moon and grateful to be stepping on a Pro stage! But God's timing was perfect because I literally could not ask for a better show to make my debut! I'm stoked that I'll have come full circle and the stage that I competed on for the FIRST TIME as an amateur 2 years ago will now be the same show/stage I compete on for the first time as a pro! So stinking cool! My prayer right now is just that God ease my fears and anxiety and that he allows my body to dial in the way it is suppose to. I ask that His will be done and be it my time to win .. great! I not .. I ask that He guide me to remain motivated, disciplined and focused and help me know what my next step should be.

Even though it's almost show eve .. I do lift today. Nothing crazy. Just a short circuit and a very light 10 mins of cardio as a warm up. But I will (as always) be lifting up and for someone else when I walk into the gym! Yesterday we lifted up little Logan .. I hope he and his family felt the extra love!!

Today we are getting our motivation from a pastor in my hometown of Campbell County, Tn. He has prayed for so many .. now it's our turn to lift HIM up .. as he needs urgent physical healing!

Prep With Purpose - July 14, 2016 -- Pastor Ronnie Arnold

I don't have many details of the original diagnosis for Pastor Arnold, but I know that he had/has lung cancer and it has returned. According to the friend that sent me the request, doctors removed part of his lung and it was worse than expected and Pastor Arnold is not doing well.

On the "Prayers for Ronnie Arnold" Facebook page, it looks as if he had a surgery on July 10th in Georgia. His wife provided this update:  "Ronnie is out of procedure and in recovery. Dr Miller said surgery went great. He had a pocket of pus in the lower part of his lung that most likely developed as a result of the pneumonia in the upper part of his lung. They removed about 1200 ml of fluid/pus from his right lung. He also had a mucous plug in one of his bronchioles that was removed. This along with all the extra fluid/pus was responsible for giving him he sensation that he was smothering. Dr Miller says he should feel better immediately! Praise the Lord! He will have 2 chest tubes In his right lung for about a week. We are hoping to send him to rehab here in GA to help him gain his strength. Please continue to pray for his recovery."

While Pastor Arnold was in the hospital his youngest daughter gave birth prematurely to her daughter that weighed less than 2 pounds. The baby is Madi Morris. So this entire family could use some lifting up right now it sounds like!

With every stride today .. with every bit of oxygen I inhale and exhale I will be extra grateful for my healthy lungs. I will use Ronnie as my motivation to get up and go without any complaints. He will be my focus all day as I PREP WITH PURPOSE!

By the way ... it doesn't matter what you are "prepping" for. We all have something going on. Be it school, work, a hobby, the gym, parenting, etc. The purpose of all this is to let someone else be your motivation and LIFT THEM UP that day! It's a different kind of little prayer chain! Whatever YOU are doing .. when you need a little extra motivation to get it don .. use our "person of the day" to help motivate you and remind you to BE GRATEFUL that you have been given the ABILITY to do it!

I hope Pastor Arnold and his family feel the love today!

XoXo,
Stacy

I hope you are joining me on this PREP WITH PURPOSE journey! If you are ... please post/share and use the hashtag #PrepWithPurpose! Let's get a huge prayer chain going and in the process maybe make the sport of bodybuilding less about "me, me, me" and a little more about helping others! Our motivation doesn't have to come from ONLY ourselves!

If you know anyone that needs urgent or ongoing prayer for any physical reason please email me all the information and a picture (or a few) to simplystacyfitness@yahoo.com.
