#PrepWithPurpose -- Day Two: Kobe Jordan Delk

**UPDATE 6/11/16**
I received word today that Kobe passed away this afternoon. Please pray for his family.

For backstory on what #PrepWithPurpose is all about please read the blog entry and/or Instagram Post.

Hello Fit Fam,

Yesterday was DAY ONE of my contest prep for #TeamUniverse and also day one of #PrepWithPurpose! I woke up excited to get started but also with some really horrible left lower back/upper glute pain. It started before I went to bed on Saturday and when I woke up on Sunday and throughout the day it just got worse. I have no idea what I could have done or where it came from! Stretching was almost impossible, however using my Rad Roller products gave me some relief. Even then ... I seriously had NO idea how I was doing to do a scheduled MAX EFFORT leg day!
I started my day writing in my Prep Journal. I had chills writing JT's name. He can't walk at the moment … he may never walk again. Why in the world am I complaining about some silly back/glute pain! I prayed for JT, his family and his doctors all day. He was my motivation as I went into the gym. I had to modify a few of my planned exercises but I was ABLE to be there and get it done!!!
Trying to find a good (cheap) place for a massage today since it's my cardio only day. I also need to find a chiropractor here in Vegas. So if anyone in my area is reading .. please comment with who you recommend! Alright .. moving on to Prep With Purpose DAY TWO .. but please continue to keep JT in your thoughts/prayers!

PREP WITH PURPOSE -- DAY TWO: June 6th

I ask that you join me in praying for Kobe Jordan Delk. He is only 7 years old. While I do not know Kobe, this story is a little personal because he is a student at the school where my sister teaches in East Tennessee.

My motivation will come from little Kobe and my lift will be in his honor. I AM ABLE and he is not. I will NOT take my health for granted. I am grateful for the abilities that God gives me. I ask that God guide the doctors and nurses that are taking care of him, that He wrap His arms around his family and friends and heal Kobe quickly.. so that he is able to once gain be a vibrant, active, happy 7 year old!

According to Kobe's mom, here is his story. "About 6 or so months ago he contracted a parasite called cryptosporidiosis from being a typical little boy and playing in a creek just like any other boy his age. Since then his health has deteriorated dramatically, the doctors can't figure out what is wrong with him and why he isn't getting better. Please even if u don't believe in God keep him in your thoughts and send good vibes his way if you're the praying kind pray for him morning noon and night and throw a few in there'd between. He's a sweet boy and doesn't deserve all this pain and misery. Just keep him on your mind."

I hope you are joining me on this prayer journey as I prep for #TeamU on July 1st & 2nd! If you are please post/share and use the hashtag #PrepWithPurpose! Let's get a huge prayer chain going and in the process maybe make the sport of bodybuilding less about "me, me, me" and a little more about helping others! Our motivation doesn't have to come from ONLY ourselves!

XO
Stacy
