SUPER Healthy Essential Oil Guacamole

Hey Fit Fam ..

Over the past year I have become a tad obsessed with Essential Oils. I have been experimenting with which ones work best for me for things ranging from stress and gut health, to insomnia, skin care, heartburn, headaches, immune support, focus, cold/allergies, sexual health .. AND MORE! I would LOVE to help guide you with Essential Oils. Since they are very individualized I can't really put everyone in a blog! Bottom line .. essential oils are not only great for replacing just about EVERYTHING in your medicine cabinet .. you can cook with them as well! I've found so many uses for the lime, rosemary, cilantro, black pepper, cinnamon, etc! Oh and all essential oils ARE NOT equal! I've had SO MANY people start to order from me and then go on Amazon, or to a local health store and get them instead. Big, big, big, mistake! You have to be VERY careful about which EO's you purchase! Also many people ask why DoTerra is more expensive. Aside from quality (safety) ... they aren't diluted like many other oils you may be tempted to buy! So in the end .. you are SAVING money by getting the real deal non diluted DoTerra oils :)

Anyway ... back to the topic of this blog. SUPER BOWL RECIPES!!!! I've posted TWO great recipes so far that are more "filling" and less "snacky". You can find them under BLOG and RECIPES on the homepage!  But this recipe is for a classic party staple ....Guacamole.

Ahhhh ... avocado! That green super fruit is a staple in my day. I eat it with 2-3 of my meals! It is such an amazing healthy fat when eaten in moderation. One of my favorite ways to enjoy avocado ... is mashed up into an amazing guacamole! I have had a recipe that I love and use for some time now ... but when I started using Essential Oils I decided to replace the spices and lime/lemon juice with oils .. and WOW!!! I couldn't believe how much better it tastes!!! Just be careful not to use too much. Oils are MUCH more potent .. so a TINY bit goes a LONG way!

If you don't have oils .. go ahead and uses the spices for this recipe. But trust me and jump on this oil train! You are missing out in SO many ways!!

SIMPLY STACY'S SIMPLY DELICIOUS ESSENTIAL OIL GUAC 

INGREDIENTS:
3 medium/large avocados
3-4 drops DoTerra Lime (or the juice of one small lime)
3-4 drops DoTerra Lemon (or the juice of one small lemon)
2-3 drops DoTerra Cilantro (or 1tbs chopped fresh cilantro)
1/2 tsp Sea Salt (or more to taste)
1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
1/2 tsp Cayenne (or more to taste)
1/2 medium onion (diced)
1/2 jalapeƱo (seeded and minced. optional if you don't want it too spicy)
2 roma tomatoes (seeded and diced)
1 clove minced garlic ( I actually use the kind in a jar. I love it.)

HOW TO MAKE:
In a large bowl place the scooped avocado pulp, lemon oil and lime oil, toss to coat.
If there is any ... drain, and reserve the lime and lemon juice, after all of the avocados have been coated. Using a potato masher, pastry blender, or even a fork - add the salt, cumin, and cayenne and mash. Then, fold in the onions, jalapeno, tomatoes, cilantro, and garlic. Add 1 tablespoon of the reserved lime juice. If none is left (if using the EO recipe) .. you can add one more drop of oil. Just be careful. The oils are POTENT!

If you are feeling lazy you could put everything in a food processor and zap it a few times! I just prefer my guacamole chunky .. so I do it by hand!

Let sit at room temperature for 1 hour and then serve with Baked Scoops, Trader Joe's Reduced Guilt Tortilla Chips, Veggies, etc!

Eat Clean. Train Dirty.
