Just rambling about results ...

Hey Fit Fam ...

I finally got a few professional pics from the Tn State Championships! Hope to get some photo albums up from all three shows on my socials soon, but if I was going to post these, I thought it would be appropriate to post a #WellnessWednesday tip to go with them!

I was going to only post my ramblings FB and Insta .. but then realized I rambled too much for even Instagram (I found out today they have a character limit, lol). So I thought I'd throw up a quick blog for those not on my FB and only on Insta.

If you look back at old blogs you will see that I've said this in many ways. But since I'm posting a picture today ... I want to say something about my results. I don't want people to think this is the "norm" from simply eating right and going to the gym. BUT ... I do want people to know with the right amount of time and dedication it is attainable!! I have some "transformation pics" up on old entries that are a good example of what simply eating well and getting in several weekly weight lifting workouts can do for your body (here is one ... here is another .. and one more ... there are several). But what you see in the pics posted today is #NextLevel dedication. I didn't do anything crazy. No magic potions, pills, mass marketed plans, wraps, etc. No crazy cardio either ... I only do one HOTBOX Fitness Nashville a week. I have never taken a fat burner and would never dream of putting something illegal in my body. I built my muscles slow and steady ... years of being in and out of the gym ... but then I made a choice to no longer make the gym and meal planning an option. That's when THESE results started to happen.

Back in May (under the direction of the most amazing woman/mentor/coach/friend ever .. IFBB Pro Brandy Leaver) ... I began lifting 5 days a week instead of 3 or 4 and started spending 1.5 to 2 hours at the gym instead of just 30min to 1 hour. I went from eating "well" as often as I could (but often substituting protein bars for meals) to eating very basic small whole food meals (but still yummy and creative) every 2.5 to 3 hours (no exceptions) and only having bars in a pinch. I also became very religious about taking a very specific pre/post workout fuel immediately before and after my lifting (protein & fast acting carbs/sugar). Before... I just saw this step as "extra macros" and would just eat my meals around gym time. Huge mistake. This has been one of the MAJOR factors of my results!!!

Building my body and physical strength has meant that I've had to make sacrifices that many aren't willing to make. So ... for those of you that have messaged me saying "I want to look like you. How do I get your abs. etc". Please know that this is a LIFESTYLE! I live this life 98% of the time. It is a SACRIFICE ... but it brings me complete joy! Some people golf, paint, play music, etc., in their free time .. well this is MY hobby. I love being a strong, fit, muscular woman. This look isn't for everyone. I've had strangers comment on work pics saying I have "man arms".....and that is all okay because for me ... it's exactly where I want to be.

Will I always be THIS dedicated? Who knows?! But what I DO know is that I am capable of it and 6 pack, 2 pack or no pack (ha) .. I'll always be a proud member of the #FitFam.

You have to decide what you want YOUR PERSONAL goals to be .. don't base them on what someone else looks like. Do what is realistic for YOU -- and go for it!!!  Just please never compare yourself to anyone else .. and NEVER say "never" .. because I once did! I watched Mr Olympia clips this same time last year and I remember looking at my husband and saying ... Dear God I could never look like THOSE girls. Well .. you never know what you have in you until you REALLY TRY!!! It's just a matter of how bad you want it! And well .. I wanted it. I wanted to see what my best me could be! So I did!! I'm still not on that level by ANY means, but I'm certainly further along than I was a year ago when I was saying "never".

Eat Clean. Train Dirty.
Stacy
