So .. I know this isn't some crazy difference and in some of your eyes not worthy of a "Transformation Tuesday" post. But it is MY journey and I've learned in fitness (and life) that you don't compare your journey to anyone else's. That said ... these pictures were taken almost exactly one year ago for a fitness magazine. I was so stoked to be featured in anything "fitness", but they were taken at the beginning of my more "consistent" fitness journey. I wish I could do one now!!
It's crazy to think how much my body has changed! I've gained probably about 8lbs of muscle since this picture....granted my workouts have drastically increased. Here I was working out 3 or 4 days a week and now I'm working out 5 or 6. I stick to pretty much the same clean eating diet as I did then .. I just make sure my portions are measured, I have increased protein and cheats are usually "less" and rarely include alcohol.
I wanted to post this because I hear/see so many people focusing on "quick" fixes. I chatted with a friend today that is frustrated seeing so many fitness people claim what their body has done in "12 weeks". Remember .. if it comes EASY .. the outcome probably won't last as long as you want it to. Take your time!! Sure it's great to have goal dates...but remember it's not a race! It's much more beneficial to be patient and see results over a long period of time and then maintain what you earned (and even go a little harder here and there for special occasions) .. than do some "quick fix" diet, cleanse, or gimmick!!
