As Seen On TV

Hey Fit Fam ...

I'm a sucker for infomercials. Actually I am a tad obsessed with "Shop At Home" anything. I can remember as a child wanting to watch QVC all the time, lol! I never really ordered anything. In fact, the only thing I can remember ordering was one of those ab cruncher/roller things (Of course it was fitness related, haha) .. but I LOVED even just watching! I actually dreamed of being one of the ladies on there, lol! Don't tell anyone .. but somewhere in the QVC archives there is a audition tape I sent them, haha! I hope it's since been destroyed. I can only imagine!!!!

I rarely fall into the trap and buy anything .. but they always suck me in to at least almost order!! However after a few of my recent finds ... maybe I should be purchasing more of them!

Here are a few things that make my healthy eating/contest prep MUCH easier for us!

First ... The Potato Express: It claims to make perfect potatoes in just 4 min. My rating - 5 stars!

I usually like to make all my potatoes in a pan on the stove or like french fries in the oven with olive oil spray because they taste like something really bad for you, but aren't :) I also feel like I get "more" than when I simply bake one?? However if you are like me, then you just don't have the time, energy, or want to dirty even more dishes some days! Well .. this little guy is A M A Z I N G :) Wash em, stick a few in this bag, put in microwave 4min (sometimes 5 if they are larger) ... boom. A perfectly cooked potato with no mess!!!!  It works. I love it. It's only $9.99. I got mine at Walgreens.

Second ... The Veggetti: This little gadget makes any veggie into noodles. My rating 3.5 stars!

Veggetti is cheaper than some of the brand names out there and it does the job! I'm certain their are better ones out there...but for now this one works just fine for me! Aside from the fact that I think it's not gonna last very long .. the only complaint I really have is it does waste an inch or two of the veggie. It just can't grasp onto the end to spiral it. So I just chop it up and add it in un-spiraled so I'm not wasting food. It also isn't the easiest to clean. So make sure you clean it pretty soon after using. I'll be posting a couple of my fave recipes soon. But really just anything you would eat as a pasta dish .. substitute squash or zucchini instead of pasta!! I also made a good cucumber salad with it! I also got mine at Walgreens. Speaking of yummy pasta alternatives. Check out my Broccoli Slaw "Pasta". You can buy that already cut up and it's sooooooo good as a side without any sauce/meat or as a "pasta" substitute.

Last ... something that I'm sure everyone has/knows about but I"m throwing in anyway because it's my most coveted "As Seen On TV" purchase.

The Magic Bullet:  If I could give this 10 stars I would :)

I bet most of you have one since they aren't really just "As Seen On TV" anymore. I remember when I wanted to register for it my husband made fun of me. Well .. guess what .. we use it for everything. Best wedding gift ever! 2+ years of daily use and it is still going strong!

We also really like the "Green Pan". That was a wedding registry gift too since they have them at Bed, Bath and Beyond. It does what it says. It wasn't until we used it for a year or so that it started to "stick".  What are your favorite "As Seen On TV" finds?!  I'd love to know!

Eat Clean. Train Dirty.
