#PrepWithPurpose - July 12, 2016: RIP Jerry Greer

For backstory on what #PrepWithPurpose is all about please read the blog entry and/or Instagram Post.

Hey Friends,
This morning I got up BRIGHT and early and did half of my workout before jumping on a flight to head "home" to Nashville to compete in the Flex Lewis Classic Pro/Am on Saturday! I will finish the rest of my workout once we land and get settled. I decided to split it up to give myself a little jolt before traveling on no sleep. Plus you just never know what set backs you can encounter during trips. So I wanted to limit any excuses! I would have done it ALL before our flight but my gym doesn't open early enough!

As I mentioned when I flew to Jersey for Team Universe, my body doesn't always respond well to travel, so I am praying that by arriving 4 days before stage .. I'll be good to go come Saturday! This does mean that I'll have to go to a friends house to prep some of my food later in the week (as it would have gone bad if I cooked it ALL on Monday night) .. while this will be a tad stressful .. doing this also allows me to be able to spend some extra time with the people I miss and love!

Yesterday was a long day of training, cooking, running errands, getting the house ready for our house/pet sitter and packing. So some GOOD motivation was needed and I certainly had it! I hope that Brett and his fiance Alix felt the extra love and prayers!

Today's PREP WITH PURPOSE is such a tragedy. We actually aren't praying for physical healing for someone today, we are praying for a family that has a broken heart, going through the unthinkable  .. losing a child.

Yes, this is a tad off subject for what Prep With Purpose is all about, but I feel in my heart this family is the one that needs lifting UP and FOR today.

Prep With Purpose -- July 12, 2016: Prayers for the family of Jerry Greer

I had the honor of interviewing Craig Morgan numerous times when I worked for Fox and GAC Headline Country. He is such a nice man. My heart breaks for Craig and his family .. as his sons body was recovered from Kentucky Lake Monday evening.

19 year old Jerry Greer was reported missing after a boating accident on Kentucky lake in Humphreys County, Tn. Roughly 24 hour later .. emergency responders recovered his body.

Jerry was a 2016 graduate of Dickson County High School and was signed on to play football at Marshall University this fall. A young athletes life .. his dreams .. gone in an instant. His family left to mourn such a young life .. gone.

RIP Jerry Greer. I will lift up and for your mourning friends and family today.

Every rep and stride will be in YOUR honor.

XoXo

I hope you are joining me on this PREP WITH PURPOSE journey! If you are ... please post/share and use the hashtag #PrepWithPurpose! Let's get a huge prayer chain going and in the process maybe make the sport of bodybuilding less about "me, me, me" and a little more about helping others! Our motivation doesn't have to come from ONLY ourselves!

If you know anyone that needs urgent or ongoing prayer for any physical reason please email me all the information and a picture (or a few) to simplystacyfitness@yahoo.com.
