#PrepWIthPurpose -- Day Fifteen: Nancy Reed

For backstory on what #PrepWithPurpose is all about please read the blog entry and/or Instagram Post.
Hey Guys,

I can't believe the weekend with my 1st Phorm family is over! It was such a motivational experience. At times (during our educational class and when the speakers were on stage talking) ... I felt like they were talking to me .. touching on things that have been causing my mind to race. I leave with a happy heart and a little extra "kick" in the butt :)

I head back to Las Vegas this afternoon and THE LAST thing I will want to do when I get home tonight is a grueling lower body lift! But I'm now less than 2 weeks out from my first show. It's the final countdown. Plus ... I have someone very special that I'm lifting in honor of today!

Sometimes people need good thoughts/prayer for healing, while others are simply tired of fighting and simply want people to pray that they "go" in peace. That is the case today. Join me as we pray for Nancy Reed. She is likely in her final days of life. We will pray that she goes peacefully and without pain. We will pray for her family who needs strength.

Prep With Purpose -- Day Fifteen: Nancy Reed
Nancy Reed is only 52 and is likely taking what are her final breaths. She has been battling appendix cancer for several years and has decided her quality of life is so bad.....that she is "ready" to go. So she has entered hospice care. Nancy's body is tired. She has fought and fought and wants to feel no more pain. This breaks my heart. It hurts that they are asking that she not be sent prayers for healing .. but instead peace .. as she says goodbye to life here on earth.

Nancy lives in the city I was born ... Oak Ridge, Tn. Today I will inhale and exhale with the utmost gratitude that I'm given this gift of life. That while I know that tomorrow is not guaranteed ... I do not KNOW that my tie is running out. I am not having to plan my "good-byes" and my family isn't planning my funeral. I am not living in a sick body ... so sick that I am too tired to want to live anymore. But this is what Nancy and her family are facing right now.

Please join me in lifting in honor of Nancy. Please pray for peace for both her, her family and loved ones.

XoXo

I hope you are joining me on this prayer journey as I prep for #TeamU on July 1st & 2nd! If you are please post/share and use the hashtag #PrepWithPurpose! Let's get a huge prayer chain going and in the process maybe make the sport of bodybuilding less about "me, me, me" and a little more about helping others! Our motivation doesn't have to come from ONLY ourselves!

If you know anyone that needs urgent or ongoing prayer for any physical reason please email me all the information and a picture (or a few) to simplystacyfitness@yahoo.com.
