One of my big pet peeves is "mass marketed" type stuff. I am not downing anyones methods, they are yours and if they work for you, then great! It's just that 99.9% of those products are (in my opinion) just big marketing tactics. You don't need a "diet in a box" or a "wrap" to be fit and there are SO MANY more supplements out there that are "cleaner" and better than the ones being pushed just so someone can make a commission. Again, not saying the products are bad, I just don't know how honest the tactics are. But there is something you may be seeing a lot of these days ... that I do 100% believe in. Because it's made a world of difference with my stomach issues.
Essential Oils have really done wonders for me. I started taking them back in November after I kept having some stomach issues, especially around show times. I believe in them so much that recently I became part of the doTERRA team so that I can share how oils have helped me and my health. I know there are several companies selling oils .. but after much research .. I felt like these oils are the ones that are best for me. I'm going to be blogging more in depth about my personal "Essential Oil Experience" and how what I use/used may be able to help fellow competitors (or anyone with stomach problems .. we just have very specific ones sometimes.) But not just competitors .. everyone ... everyday .... in every aspect of your life! There are SO MANY ways to use Essential Oils. There is also a "tea" that I use by a different company that I plan to chat about that in a future blog as well. If it works for me ... I want to share, share, share :)
But today .. I'm just gonna tell you about this yummy Essential Oil Smoothie I made this weekend!
I used a scoop of a Vanilla Level One protein, some stevia because I like my shakes extra sweet (omit this and try first as it may be sweet enough for you) then added doTERRA Orange Essential Oil. It tasted like an Orange Creamsicle!
doTERRA Orange Essential Oil has many benefits. First of all, it's extracted (cold pressed) from the rind. So you get nutritional benefits you wouldn't get from just drinking Orange juice or eating an Orange itself. Some of the most common primary uses are: Anxiety, Digestion, Fear, Heart Palpitations, Insomnia, Menopause, Nervousness, Uplifting and Withdrawl. Some of the other possible uses are: helps with appetite, bronchitis, colds, colics in infants, dull/oily complexion, dermatitis, fever, flu, lower high cholesterol, mouth ulcers, muscle soreness, tissue repair, water retention and wrinkles! So there are obviously a WIDE range of benefits!
I'm anxious to try it with my pre-workout to see if it gives me any kind of extra boost on those days I don't really feel like going (yes .. we all have those days.) In this case .. I would use 1st Phorm Loopy Fruit (since it's a whey isolate) and of course my Ignition!! If I've not had too much coffee I'd also add in some Megawatt HD :) I can't imagine how good it will be!!
Some ways I plan on using it in the future?
In high stress/anxious situations -- Inhale it! Rub some in may hands and take slow deep breaths. You can also rub it on your neck.
Water Enhancer -- Make my 1-2 gallons easier to drink :) However I was told to make sure you don't put this particular oil in plastic! Gonna get more info on that for you!
