For backstory on what #PrepWithPurpose is all about please read the blog entry and/or Instagram Post.
Hey Friends,
Today is the beginning of another "peak week" for me! I am ONE WEEK out from my PRO DEBUT!! This means that the next two days I will be doing NO lifting. However, I will do a couple extra rounds of HIIT the next two days. I would rather lift over ANY form of cardio .. ANY DAY. So I'll be on the struggle bus on that football field this morning, haha. I dread it .. big time .. but I WILL NOT ALLOW MYSELF TO COMPLAIN!!! I am able and I am grateful that God gives me the ability to be physical!!!!
I have a great motivator today. His name is Cary. With every stride I will be lifting up and for him and his family during this very difficult time.
Prep With Purpose -- July 9, 2016: Cary Clemmons
Today's request was sent to me by a fellow competitor that has joined me in taking part in this little project. It makes my heart so happy to know that people are actually taking part in this little "prayer chain" of sorts.
We will be lifting UP and FOR - Cary Clemmons. Cary was a very active man. He coaches youth football and is a regular in the gym. Several weeks ago he went in for surgery (pretty serious, but nothing life threatening.) The surgery went well but he experienced a freak post surgery complication (food going into his lungs) and now his condition is life threatening. He's been on life support for the past few weeks because he cannot breathe on his own and has been in a medical induced coma so his lungs can heal.
Please join me in using Cary as your motivation today. Life can change so quickly. One day coaching football and lifting in the gym and the next ... in a coma fighting for life. Let uspray that he comes out of this coma and heals and gets back to his active self soon! Also lets lift up his family (he has a wife and children.) I simply can not imagine what they are experiencing right now.
XoXo
Stacy
I
hope you are joining me on this PREP WITH PURPOSE journey! If you are ... please post/share and use the hashtag
#PrepWithPurpose! Let's get a huge prayer chain going and in the
process maybe make the sport of bodybuilding less about "me, me, me" and
a little more about helping others! Our motivation doesn't have to come
from ONLY ourselves!
If you know anyone that needs urgent or
ongoing prayer for any physical reason please email me all the
information and a picture (or a few) to simplystacyfitness@yahoo.com.
